Colin Buechler, formerly senior vice president of sales and marketing, is to take over from Craig Malloy as CEO of LifeSize, a subsidiary of Logitech. Malloy is taking a step back from day-to-day operations after nine years in charge, but will continue to be an active participant as vice chairman of LifeSize’s supervisory board.
“I am very pleased with the LifeSize team and what they have accomplished under Craig’s leadership,” said Guerrino De Luca, Logitech chairman of the board and acting president and chief executive officer. “Every growing company comes to an inflection point and LifeSize is there now. Colin Buechler’s experience growing the LifeSize business as the leader of sales and marketing, along with his background in strategy and building larger businesses, is what LifeSize needs to continue its success story. I fully trust in Colin’s leadership and vision for LifeSize.”Buechler is credited as being a driving source in sales and as the co-developer of the product roadmap since 2007. “From inception, LifeSize has had a vision to change the way people communicate and do business,” said Buechler. “My goal is to make visual communication a part of everyday business collaboration.”
He says that first order of business as CEO is to reinforce the principles, products and partnerships to drive the industry forward in five key categories: mobility, cloud, redefining infrastructure, simplification and total cost of ownership.
