Magenta Research had chosen to introduce its new logo design and brand message at InfoComm 2012.

In recent months, Magenta has undergone a revitalisation in the key area of its business, so it was considered the perfect time to update the company’s brand image. The new, bolder Magenta logo is said to sport an equally bold brand promise: “We Engineer Confidence”.

Highlighted by the company’s vivid magenta signature colour, the logo is an evolution of the company’s original, more subdued design. Magenta is also using InfoComm as a platform to showcase new additions to its Voyager and MultiView product families that offer complete, end-to-end solutions for fibre and UTP-based signal switching and distribution.

Magenta’s fully digital Voyager Series of fibre-optic based products, which began shipping in 2011, extend, switch and distribute video (including HDCP protected content) and auxiliary signals digitally over fibre-optic cable. New offerings on show at InfoComm included the Voyager VG-Tx4 (a 4-port transmitter), Voyager SRx ScaleMax (a Receiver module) and the Voyager CF-18: 4U (a rack-mountable chassis).

InfoComm 2012 also marked the official introduction of upgrades to Magenta’s MultiView series, which has served as a solution for the distribution of Pro-AV signals over UTP cable. MultiView II enhancements are all designed to make it easier to deliver 1080p resolution (and higher) video with a  performance at distances to 2.000 feet. Even with a copper infrastructure, it is now possible to send 1080p DVI video to 2000 feet away, thanks to Magenta’s proprietary method of transmission over twisted pair. The MultiView II Upgrades include a totally revamped, all external configuration scheme with easy-to-use buttons and status LEDs, updated EDID & DDC modes of operation, improved sync control, fourth-pair configuration options (for aux data like serial and audio) and streamlined connector locations for rack mounting.
