Projector values declines outpace volumes

In its latest quarterly Worldwide Projector Market report, Futuresource reveals that the market’s value decline continues to rapidly outpace volume – leading to fears that certain vendors will struggle to maintain a presence in the mainstream market. In Q1 2016 the worldwide projector market declined 3% year on year (YoY) to 1.73m units, with value tumbling three times this pace at 9%, to $1.9 billion

New video wall displays from eyevis

Eyevis has introduced two new display solutions for permanently installed, modular video walls. The new 55-inch display (EYE-LCD-5500-XSN-LD-FX-700) with a small bezel of only 3.5 mm and a screen brightness of 700 cd/m² provides an alternative to the 500-nit-version for locations with bright ambient light conditions.

Pointless Meetings

A survey by Sennheiser Communications reveals that the average British worker will sit through 6,240 meetings in their career, a survey has revealed.Researchers found the huge figure is made up of endless internal catch-ups, client meetings and lengthy appraisals with the boss. Of the 2000 workers studied, six in 10 respondents said their boss likes holding a meeting for the sake of it and said most of them are ‘pretty pointless’.
